Rain Water Project

Rain Water Harvesting Project Completed! 

‍In April we started a new water harvesting project that would allow us to store water in two underground tanks. To do so effectively, we installed a new gutter system that will allow us to potentially harvest about 45,000 liters of rain water. 

The benefit of water harvesting is that rainwater does not contain a lot of minerals harmful for drinking, and it can be safely used in the kitchen for meals. 

With the rainy season being so unpredictable, we have yet to fully utilize the tanks. However, we do look forward to seeing them filled!
